I've risen back from the dead... not really

I can't be bothered checking the last time I've talked about what was going on in life right now but it was definitely ages ago. I'm at a new school now, not like a transfer student or anything like that but I "graduated" from primary since it only goes up to grade (year) 6. Once I left that school, I was given an enrollment to another school that was pretty good (PSSC - Pimpama State Secondary College). Before that though, I actually came back to NZ to visit family and attend a funeral back over there (Father's Mother who has been dead for 3 years to this day, god bless her soul). I was planning to go visit Point England again but the flood warnings kind of delayed the beginning of school so I left NZ before I could see yous again. I finally enrolled into PSSC and got to class a bit late because we had to be escorted to them but there wasn't anyone to escort us in the first place so we had to wait for someone. Once we actually got to class, I was pretty shocked that there were so many people I knew (I went to many primary schools so I knew a lot of people from said schools). One person stood out a lot which was Jin. I was really surprised to see him in my class and so was he. The school is pretty large and two major things were, 1. we didn't have set eating times, we just eat whenever. And 2. we didn't need the wear HATS. You don't know how relieved I was seeing as we didn't to wear hats wherever we went. I have a huge problem with the school though. and it's the school-dress code. It doesn't sound bad until you actually see what we have to wear. Quite literally copy and pasted straight from the PSSC dress code, this is what we have to wear...

 Navy school shorts or trousers, light blue boys’ shirt with logo, tie (optional).  Navy crew school socks (red & white stripes at top) and black leather Oxford style lace up shoes (joggers, Vans or cross trainers not to be worn) see diagram.  School jumper, sport jacket or blazer may be worn in cooler weather as part of the formal uniform. Track pants are not to be worn with or in combination with the formal uniform.

Girls (Year 7 – 9):  PSSC navy skirt, shorts or navy girls’ pants, light blue blouse with tie.  White ankle sock with PSSC in navy visible above the shoe or navy stockings (not tights or leggings) and black leather Oxford style lace up shoes (joggers, Vans or cross trainers not to be worn) see diagram.  School jumper, sport jacket or blazer may be worn in cooler weather as part of the formal uniform. Track pants are not to be worn with or in combination with the formal uniform.

Boys (Year 10 - 12):  Navy school shorts or trousers, white boys’ shirt with logo, tie (optional).  Navy crew school socks (red & white stripes at top) and black leather Oxford style lace up shoes (joggers, Vans or cross trainers not to be worn) see diagram.

Girls (Year 10 - 12):  PSSC navy skirt, shorts or navy girls’ pants, white blouse with tie.  White ankle sock with PSSC in navy visible above the shoe or navy stockings (not tights or leggings) and black leather Oxford style lace up shoes (joggers, Vans or cross trainers not to be worn) see diagram.

See what I mean? It's awfully specific and it's only for one of the uniforms, ONE. If you noticed, it talks about 'sport' here and there on the dress code. This is because we have an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT DRESS CODE for our pe (basically 'entirely different'). I'm not sure if they have an official dress code for the pe uniform. Ahem...

sports shirt - sports shorts - white socks above the ankle (or at least so it's visible) and running shoes.

most students only really wear this for a single day with that day being sports.

The new school im in is great and the teachers are exceptional but I am kind of annoyed about the dress code and it's strictness but other than that, it's a great school. My grades are doing well although they could be better in some subjects (English and health if im correct). There's not much left to talk about so I'm going to end it here. I'll see you whenever I decide to make another blog.
